Weigh anchor, there’s a bonny breeze coming in and we have places to be. In the loamy Caribbean sea, the options are limitless and drinks are plenty cold.
Whether you are considering a different lifestyle or settling down for the retirement, you know that somewhere here there in the Caribbean is a place where you belong. The question you might be asking yourself, is what you are going to do? Do you already have a portable income? Or, are you one of the many who is searching for that niche to fill with your best talent! Your options are actually quite good.
1. Become a Freelancer (Writer, Designer, Etc)
Many beach bars in the Caribbean now actually have free WiFi. You can island hop to your heart's content, as long as that internet connection is waiting for you when you arrive. This is great for people who have a background in digital design, technical writing, web design and much more to name.
Basically, if it can be done via a computer you can do it anywhere in the world. Not sure how to get started? Get your feet wet with sites like Upwork.com, Fiverr, and even Open English if you feel like chatting with others. And if the cost of living has you a bit worried, check out Costa Rica and Panama.
Next on the list is a bit harder to set in place but if you have what it takes (budget) it's definitely a great one.
